ROKU Resto in Tallinn – The Best Place to Enjoy Keto Sushi and Duck Fillet
ROKU Resto is a unique restaurant located in the Porto Franco area of Tallinn, at Poordi 1. It offers Japanese-inspired dishes infused with Estonian flavors. This is a place where sushi, tartare, and duck fillet come together in new and exciting ways, providing light, elegant, and thoughtfully crafted taste experiences.

We visited ROKU Resto to try both dinner menus, and I must say, the experience was well worth it!
Additionally, we tried the roasted rice tea, which was pleasantly mild and light. Roasted black rice tea is an aromatic beverage with a slightly nutty flavor, made from toasted black rice. It’s rich in antioxidants and beneficial nutrients, supporting digestion and helping to balance blood sugar levels. The tea is naturally caffeine-free and calming. Highly recommended!
During the FoodLover Restaurants Week from February 13th to 23rd, they offer two special menus:

Menu and Taste Experiences
✔ Veal Tartare – A true surprise in flavor nuances! A completely different tartare than we’re used to! A very enjoyable experience. Served with delightfully crunchy bread, it became a well-balanced starter. Would definitely have it again.

✔ Salmon Tataki – The fish was tasty and tender, with a smoky topping adding an interesting nuance. The ponzu sauce provided just the right acidity, bringing out all the flavors beautifully.

✔ Yasashisa Keto Roll with Caviar – This is their most popular and best-selling dish. I’ve tried a lot of sushi, but the keto roll was a completely new experience for me! It was lighter due to the absence of rice, yet surprisingly soft and flavorful. Fresh and balanced – excellent sushi!

✔ Roasted Duck Breast – This main course was 10/10! I’m personally not a big fan of duck anymore, but my companion praised it highly. The meat was perfectly cooked, easy to cut, and tasted ideal. The Jerusalem artichoke cream was silky smooth, the accompanying orange-carrot puree pleasantly sweet, and all components harmonized perfectly.

✔ Vanilla Panna Cotta – They offer the same dessert in both menus but with different additions. The black caviar added an interesting salty nuance that surprisingly complemented the sweet vanilla panna cotta well. The feared fishy taste wasn’t noticeable. Meanwhile, the mango panna cotta was sweeter and creamier. For both desserts, we would have liked more textural contrast – perhaps something crunchy like nuts.

ROKU Resto pleasantly surprised both me and my companion! The dishes had many exciting flavor nuances, the sushi was fresh and of high quality, the duck was absolutely perfect, and the service was friendly and attentive.
Sustainability and Conscious Cooking – A Restaurant Where Nothing Goes to Waste!
