Achieving the top spot for the second consecutive time, MEAT Resto & Butchery received high praise for its excellent flavors and expertly prepared beef tenderloin, with staff providing spot-on cooking recommendations. Desserts, especially the chocolate fondant, were also well-received, though some noted inconsistencies in texture. The cozy atmosphere and inviting interior contributed to a pleasant dining experience. While service was generally commendable, a few guests mentioned that some staff appeared tired or less friendly, and there were occasional long wait times during peak hours. Additionally, some diners desired more detailed explanations of the dishes, as they had to consult the menu themselves. Overall, most visitors were very satisfied and plan to return, though improvements in service speed and a more diverse selection of side dishes could enhance the experience further.

🥈 2nd Place: Trofe Restaurant (Pikk 29, Tallinn)

Securing the second place for the second time, Trofe Restaurant garnered very positive feedback. Guests particularly appreciated the excellent taste and beautiful presentation of the food, as well as the friendly and professional service. Many highlighted that all three courses were enjoyable, with well-thought-out pairings of wines and dishes. Specific praise was given to the beef carpaccio, salmon, duck breast, and chocolate fondant. The ambiance was described as cozy and inviting, with soft background music that didn’t interfere with conversations. Guests felt comfortable and welcomed, enhancing the overall dining experience. Negative feedback was minimal, touching on minor details such as the location of the restroom, limited coat hanging options, the texture or doneness of certain dishes, and occasional lack of engagement from staff or overly loud conversations at the bar. Overall, most visitors were very satisfied and expressed a desire to return, with Trofe Restaurant leaving a strong and memorable positive impression.

🥉 3rd Place: Platz (Roseni 7, Tallinn)

Platz was praised for its high-quality food, with dishes like ravioli, octopus, duck, and salmon in miso butter receiving particular acclaim. Desserts were also popular, though some found them less memorable. The menu was noted for its thoughtful composition and balanced flavors. Service received much positive feedback, with staff described as friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Some guests felt that inquiries about their satisfaction were made too frequently, but this also demonstrated the staff’s commitment to providing the best experience. However, there were instances where wine was added to the bill despite being offered as a complimentary house gesture. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, though noise from other guests disturbed some diners. Additionally, an open door caused drafts that affected comfort in certain areas. Negative comments included the unavailability of draft beer and warm bottled beers, as well as the absence of salt on the tables. Overall, most visitors were very satisfied with the food, service, and overall experience, and plan to revisit the restaurant.

4th Place: Mere Resto (Mere pst 4, Tallinn)

Mere Resto received commendation for its stylish interior, delicious dishes, and quality cocktails. Many guests were pleased with the selection of meat and fish dishes, as well as the three-fish carpaccio and the Dubai chocolate cake, which were favorites for many. Service quality received mixed reviews—some appreciated the polite and attentive staff, while others found the service slow and occasionally confusing. The most significant drawback noted was the long waiting times—drinks and food arrived late, with some main courses taking over 1.5 hours. There were also order errors, such as incorrect cocktails, cold side dishes, and unexpected menu changes without prior explanation. The restaurant’s ambiance elicited mixed reactions—while the interior was liked by many, loud music and hookah smoke in the room disturbed some diners who expected a quieter environment. Although the food was generally tasty, there were issues with dish temperatures and portion sizes—some found portions too large, others too small. Overall impressions of the restaurant were varied—food and drinks were very good, but service speed and general organization need improvement. The atmosphere could be calmer, and staff should engage more and introduce the dishes brought to the table. Some guests would like to return, while others felt the experience did not meet expectations.

5th Place: Farm Restaurant (Müürivahe 27b, Tallinn)

Farm Restaurant’s greatest strengths were considered to be excellent service, a pleasant atmosphere, and well-prepared dishes. The duck breast was particularly praised for being tender and juicy, and the apple strudel was noted for its balanced sweetness. Guests highly valued the staff, specifically mentioning a waiter named Dmitri, who left a very professional impression. The cozy space and live music added to the evening’s ambiance. However, some guests found the music too loud, making conversation difficult. Negative comments included incorrect orders or improper serving, such as wrong drink glasses, unopened mussels, and varying doneness levels for the same main course. Some diners felt the menu should generate more interest in the restaurant’s regular offerings, as it seemed average in its current form. Additionally, the high price of drinks and the charge for bottled water, when free tap water was expected, were criticized. Overall, guests were very satisfied with the food, but there were some minor issues with service and organization. The restaurant is certainly a quality establishment, but attention to detail could make guests feel even more welcome.
